Transmitting a single signal or data stream to many potential users simultaneously.
Traditional TV and radio are examples of wireless broadcast technology.
Most mobile phone technology is unicast instead of broadcast, because each user receives a different, dedicated signal. Unicast means one-to-one, while broadcast is one-to-many.
There have been attempts to bring limited broadcast services to phones, most notably for live television.
